Demon Alcohol

James HetfieldI have trouble sleeping. I workout about three hours a day every day of the week and I still have trouble sleeping, which makes it hard to get up at 4:30 the next morning. Nyquil stopped working for me in 2001, so I’ve had to make some additions. As of late I’ve been adding a double or two of whiskey to get some sort of drowsiness, anything to feel tired enough to sleep soon after laying down. The problem is every time I do this, it brings out my worst fears and anxieties, which taunt me for the hour or two it takes me to fall asleep. I’d stop, but I’d lose needed sleep. Heh, sucks to be me, I guess.

I’VE FOUND SAFETY IN THIS LONELINESS
BUT I CAN NOT STAND IT ANYMORE
