A Boss Emeritus

I hate having uncompensated, extra responsibility placed being placed on my shoulders. I was supposed to only fill the job for three weeks, but the powers that be were probably too busy or lazy to find a replacement. Luckily the majority of 1st is made up of people who keep out of trouble, so the extra week really wasn’t that bad. It’ll be nice to be able to do my own thing again without having to worry about anyone.

Though most of 1st was relatively squared away, I still had one or two that gave me the occasional headache, and Ellett was one of them. He was a nice guy, but having to pick him up from Bailey’s during odd hours during the day/night was a little annoying. I was surprised to hear that he was out processing today, since Ellett’s been a permanent fixture at GAFB ever since I got here. I wish him well for wherever he goes.

This crazy girl came up to our table during breakfast on Thursday complaining the blood drive wouldn’t take her donation because her time in Europe may have given her Mad Cow Disease. I was fighting the urge not to laugh and say, “If the shoe fits…”
